Putting faces to the drama: Adopt a Hostage , an initiative by College Students in Colombia
Description:
One of the most inhumane aspects of the drama Colombia is living deriving from the internal violence is kidnapping. There is little agreement on the official statistics of how many hostages are being kept by the leftist guerrilla Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC). Nevertheless, college students in Bogotá started an initiative called Adopta un Secuestrado to portraying the human aspect of the hostages drama. This initiative has been a major success and has become an important tool to fight for the liberation of all kept captive in the Colombian jungle. Come and see how you too could become involved!
